A system for comprehensive safety management
The HSE system Pilvilampi has created for Raumaster allows the swift managing of safety-related reports and actions. At the same time, it provides a foundation for addressing the company’s broader system needs.
The new system has enabled, among other things:
- More efficient reporting
- Improved information flow, with data reaching the right people directly
- Flexible implementation of features and systems required in the future
Raumaster, a manufacturer of material handling systems, wanted to renew its HSE system in response to evolving data management needs. The off-the-shelf software in use did not adapt to the new requirements automatically, and customising it appeared both challenging and costly – as is often the case with standard software solutions. Raumaster therefore began looking for a flexible solution that could also accommodate future needs.
Raumaster chose Pilvilampi as its partner in part due to Pilvilampi’s productised platform solution. It was seen as a way to streamline the company’s system development, since potential future system needs – including entirely new ones – could be addressed using the same platform. This would also ensure cost-effective development and a consistent user experience.
The new HSE system provides comprehensive management of the company’s safety-related reports and the resulting actions. All the features that were missing from the previous system have been implemented in the new one, which is integrated into Raumaster’s management system. The system enables managers to be assigned responsibility for conducting HSE discussions, the completion of which is monitored within the system.
Improved reporting and information flow
Users have adopted the system with ease, and even complex matters can be handled smoothly with standard IT skills. The system, used by around 500 Raumaster employees, has improved both reporting and information flow. It enables direct Power BI reporting and ensures that information about events is automatically sent to payroll administration and managers.
One of the factors behind the successful collaboration between Pilvilampi and Raumaster has been a shared vision of the desired working culture: progress was kept straightforward with full attention on the core goal – delivering a successful end result. The next joint project has already been launched, focusing on the collection of quality feedback.
I appreciate Pilvilampi’s way of going straight for the goal and moving as directly as possible towards the shared objective.
